Betsy (Schooner) logbook, 1793.

The logbook of the schooner Betsy details a shipping voyage from Beverly and Salem, Mass., to Martinique and Trinidad, Jan.-May 1793. The schooner's owner was David Smith; the master was Hardy Ropes. The logbook includes references to equipment and supplies, specifically provisions, aboard ship and shipboard occupations. During its voyage, the Betsy spoke the brig Ann out of Boston and the brig Sally out of Salem.
